The story behind this song

A high-energy mythological journey through West African folklore

Something Different: This track ventures far from my usual symphonic and metal territory—and that's exactly the point. Neural Grooves explores ALL mythologies through whatever musical lens best serves the story. From Celtic epics to West African folk fusion, from Norse metal to Japanese orchestral journeys, no genre is off-limits and no culture's stories are beyond our reach. If there's a myth worth telling, there's a sound worth discovering.

What to Expect. Infectious Afro-Caribbean rhythms with djembe and shakers Bright electric guitar mimicking traditional Kora patterns Theatrical storytelling vocals switching between singing and trickster narration Celebratory gang vocals creating communal circle atmosphere Modern indie-folk fusion with traditional West African roots

The Legend: Anansi the Spider, the cunning trickster god of West African lore, set out to purchase all the world's stories from the Sky God. Through impossible tasks, clever schemes, and quick wit, he wove his way into every tale ever told. This is his story—and why spiders still spin their webs to this day.

Anansi reminds us that wisdom and wit triumph over strength. Every challenge is just another thread in the web we weave.
