The myth behind this song

The sun is gone. The moon imprisoned. Eternal darkness reigns. Louhi has cursed the world.

Experience the Finnish witch queen Louhi through minimal dark ritual folk - sparse percussion, wood sounds, sustained drones, and ethereal shamanistic vocals. This is Kalevala mythology told through atmospheric darkness, where the Mistress of Pohjola stole light itself and plunged the world into frozen eternal night.

The Legend of Louhi:

In the Kalevala (Finnish national epic), Louhi is the powerful witch queen who rules Pohjola - the mythical northland of cold, darkness, and magic. She is cunning, ancient, and impossibly powerful.

Her greatest act of vengeance: She stole the sun and moon from the sky and imprisoned them inside a mountain. With fire also stolen from the world, humanity was plunged into eternal winter and absolute darkness. No dawn, no warmth, no light - only Louhi's frozen kingdom expanding across the world.

The heroes of the Kalevala had to forge a new sun and moon, attempting to restore what Louhi had stolen. But her curse proved that light itself could be captured, imprisoned, controlled by those with enough magical power.

Louhi is not purely evil - she's a complex antagonist. She's a mother, a shapeshifter (transforming into eagles and storms), a strategic mind who creates impossible tasks for heroes. She represents the north itself: cold, dark, powerful, ancient, and utterly indifferent to mortal suffering.
