Cinematic Celtic & Pagan Folk In progress
The Solstice Songs
The turning points of the year: the longest day at Stonehenge, the longest night, and the bluestones' journey from Preseli.
The myth behind this album
The turning of the year, told through the longest night, the longest day and the stones that mark them.
"Dance of the Longest Night (Solstice Fire)" begins in frozen silence and builds to an ecstatic, fire-lit chant for the return of the sun. "The Blaze of the Longest Day" is its bright twin: the one morning the sun rises over the Heel Stone and pours straight into the heart of Stonehenge. "The Stones of Preseli" is told by the bluestones themselves, from their birth in a Welsh mountain through the long journey across the land and the centuries of silent watching that followed.
Cinematic Celtic and pagan folk. The album is still in progress.
