Welcome to "The Eternal Vigil," the monumental second chapter in the Neural Grooves saga that began with "The Cycle of Crows." This album is a journey into the timeless, and often cruel, perspective of a goddess.
The Story. Having completed her transformation from mortal queen to immortal deity, The Morrígan begins her endless watch over the mortal realm. This album chronicles her observations across the centuries, witnessing the endless cycles of war, death, and rebirth from her divine vantage point. It is a story of a goddess grappling with her eternal duty as both a harbinger of doom and a weaver of fate.
The Music. A raw, primal fusion of cinematic Celtic Folk Metal and powerful Symphonic Metal. The sound is built on a foundation of massive tribal war drums, heavy chugging guitars, and a full Celtic orchestra featuring haunting pipes, wild fiddles, and low, growling cello drones. The music evolves with the story, moving from cold, distant observation to thunderous, epic climaxes of divine intervention.
